The managed fund sector continues to include 154 structured funds with the number of new issues matching the pace at which existing funds are taken out of the market or merged with other funds. Of the existing issues, 15 funds of funds were created in 2006.It is anticipated that new issues may continue to emerge from managers of funds of funds in a way such structured product will not appear for income trusts (given the new tax regime).
