EVENT PROGRAMS
Annual Roundtable
Topics and agendas for the Roundtable are drafted in consultation with participants and stakeholders. On this basis, an inaugural Roundtable and Web conference will be planned for 2007.
The Roundtable will provide opportunity for key informants, analysts and observers to join together with policy makers and market regulators to consider questions pertinent to understanding income trusts and flow-through entities, their role in capital markets, risks, concerns and returns of benefit to Canadians and the economy.
We know that many specialized organizations host "roundtables" with many of these closed to the public. The aim of our Roundtable program is to facilitate open exchange and participation by a full range of stakeholders in Canadian equity markets, to enable a truly round table.
Our roundtable will involve topical presentations by key informants focused on answering or elaborating an initial research agenda set out by the Institute. Each presenter will be asked to make observations and provide related policy recommendations. Time will be allocated for questions and an answer period for each general area of topics covered.
Quarterly Townhall Luncheons
Again topics and agendas will be drafted in consultation with participants and stakeholders. Quarterly meetings will provide opportunity to update members on the status of the income trust market and new developments in it.
iTrust Seminars
Educational seminars will explain the nature of income trust securities as well as the dynamics, particularly risks and opportunities, in the income trust market. Attendance at these events will benefit of investors with presentations customized to the particular interests of an audience: Either general investors or financial professionals.
iTrust Recognition Award
As part of its mandate, the iTrustInstitute will research industry standards and best practices. In this context, the Institute will recognize those who demonstrate leadership in work towards our mission and objectives.
On an annual basis, the Institute will make an iTrust Recognition award.
