OUR AIMProvide a Voice & Resource For & By Trust InvestorsTrustInvestor was created to inform investors about the Income Trust sector that is unique to Canada. The aim is to enable better decisions by helping individuals see the real risks & potential returns of income trusts.Media has been awash with communications about the sector, with many an "expert" working for sellers to talk about new products. But these reports can be confusing or even misleading. So we want to promote investor awareness of the sector, as well as knowledge about qualitative differences between issues, their structure and managers' strategies: - Which leaders grow business by concentrating on long term value? - Which managers are playing financial games with your money? - What corporations convert into a trust but have no sustainable cash flow? We want to deliver high quality information for and by trust buyers. TrustInvestor should save time for those who want to pay valuable attention to long term quality leaders. Independent Research & Investor-friendly Guide to TrustsTrustInvestor helps investors look at who is doing what, at what risk for what and whose returns. Information unique to the site is derived from the iTrustIndex. Featured on the site, the iTrustIndex was created by making a notional $1000 investment in the trusts that provide regular income and that are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Unit price and rate of distributions, as well as favored tax treatment of that yield is reported in our iTrustReport. Specific units worthy of investor consideration for Growth and Income are also provided in the iTrustModel Folio section of the Report. Unlike composite indices that sample the market using a handful of representative units, our iTrustIndex shows specific information about the performance of all units. Rather than weighting our theoretical portfolio in terms of market capitalization, we measure unit performance using more meaningful 'investor-sized' investments. ParticipationAs you may notice, access to certain kinds of background information or details may require your registration with the site. This is so that we and you can remain open and aware of site users and contributors. We consider everyone involved and, particularly, registrants to be participants in a community of genuine interest in trusts. Welcome and let us know your thoughts. We are always open to constructive suggestions for improvement.
